English

In these recent oils on canvas, natural supports for an unusual, liquid, extensive exaltation of colour, emerges a kind of material density that stops and penetrates in large portions, tight or enlarged by rigid elements, almost remains of a past geometry, no more believable except for a construction accepted as a task, but practically denied by the pictorial style itself.
Mario Biason (Journalist)

Not by chance his colours spread in parallel squares and lines, darkness alternates light in an endless chase between memory and imagination, between reason and feeling, as the artist must do with all the ones who want to be culturally fed.
D.ssa Lucia Gregori

He describes with stylization, he colours large fields with aggressive tints and designs with strenght.
Prof. Ugo Fortini

From these towns, from these figures without faces, a secret logic appears that has regulated, according to calculated chromatic geometries, spaces and perspectives that obey completely autonomous laws.
Andrea Baldinotti (Journalist)

.... Spaces and perspectives in favour of an exaltation of the element "colour", which is clotted in a refined game of marquetery or spread in liquid bands, acquiring tones thst recall the expressive violences of the "Fauves" ....
Dott. Baldinotti

Paolo Vannini's style cannot easily be accepted by the people who expect painting to have only a soothing function and not, on the contrary, to encourage a more passioned and suffered confront with one's interior world.
Bob Kline (critic of art)

THERE ARE WORDS THAT STOP ON THE MOUTH, OTHERS REMAIN PRISONER OF THE RED HOUSE - EVERY TWO EYES, AN ARTIST.
Maurizio Rossi (poet)

I met Paolo a short time ago and we immediately started a relationship of reciprocal estime, friendship and then intimaly and we agreed about many aspects of our life - His art, its peculiarity of forms I became aware of later on and I was immediately struck by the various tonalities : I think they represent the most intimate self of Paolo, the positivity or the research of it under any circumstances and so the light is always there, even when the colours are dark - I'm not an expert, I don't criticize nor praise his works, I just described the emotion I felt when I was able to admire many his works in the intimacy of his studio together with Donatella (wife) and Silvia (son).
